This deodorant is amazing! Life changing! & Works great! Trust me once you try this you wont go back to that nasty toxic stuff... I use all organic ingredients. Don't worry I'll add links to start you off on the right track!

Welcome to my blog, I'm so glad you stopped by. So I've ventured into this whole DIY hygiene scene at the beginning of the year. So yes I still have lots and lots to learn. But this recipe is pure perfection. I have experimented to get it just right at the expense of my underarms lol. But it was totally worth it!

"Why should I switch to homemade deodorant?"
1. Aluminum is an active ingredient in antiperspirant. It absorbs into the cells that line the sweat ducts. This leads them to swell and squeeze the ducts closed. Research suggests that it is linked to breast cancer. Unfortunately, aluminum has been linked to Alzheimer's disease.
2. Parabens act as a preservative in many personal care products including deodorants. They contain estrogen-like properties and can affect your body's hormonal balance. This may cause a variety of health issues such as increasing your risk of hormonal cancers, early onset of puberty, and even birth defects.
3. Triclosan is another common ingredient found in conventional deodorants. It's an antimicrobial that kills bacteria and fungus. It is classified as a pesticide by the FDA and a probable carcinogen by the EPA and has been linked to a number of different health problems and increased rise of cancer.
4. Synthetic Fragrance, the term "fragrance" is a generic word that can involve thousands of chemicals that a company doesn't want to list on an ingredient label. Synthetic scents accumulate in your tissue over time and have been linked to hormone disruption and other serious health effects.
Stop putting chemicals onto your body those are just a few reasons why you should make the switch. Conventional antiperspirant contains a variety of chemicals. That clearly are doing your body more harm than good. Will your body go through a detox phase? Yes it will, but once you get passed it your pits will thank you. Below are a few tips to help you get through that phase. Trust me its worth it!

1. Cleanse your underarms thoroughly

1-2 times per day with natural soap and water.

2. Dry-brush underarm area once per day

in circular strokes to increase circulation

and massage the lymph nodes.

3. Exfoliate under your arms twice a week

to speed up the detoxification process

by renewing the skin. (Ancient cosmetics has

a wonderful #vegan line of body scrubs, I also

will be making my own so and will post the recipe so stay tuned)

4. Sweat. Getting your glands to open

up and start sweating will force

the toxins out even faster. (#Sweat is not the enemy)

5. Drink plenty of water to expedite the flushing of toxins.

6. Reapply deodorant throughout the day as needed.

Ingredients

2/3 cup of organic coconut oil

2/3 cup of organic beeswax

4 tablespoons of organic Shea butter

2/3 cup of organic arrowroot powder

3 tablespoons of organic cornstarch

1 tablespoon of organic baking soda

15-20 drops of Sweet orange organic essential oil

15-20 drops of lemon organic essential oil

15-20 drops of lavender organic essential oil

15-20 drops of tea tree organic essential oil

Instructions

Measure out all of your ingredients. Once you got that done, mix all the dry ingredients together, make sure there isn’t any lumps. The baking soda tends to get clumped together. Now if you don’t have a double boiler (I don’t) use a little pot and a metal bowl. In the pot place a little bit of water then place your bowl over the pot and turn the heat on medium low. Now you can put your coconut oil, beeswax, and Shea butter in the bowl and keep watch Because once its all melted you’ll need to remove it right away. Then you’ll slowly pour your dry ingredients into the mix & whisk it all together. Now it will start to harden pretty fast. Once it starts to get thick you can add your essential oils. Don’t add the essential oils while it’s hot.. Once it’s all mixed well you can put it into your container. I use glass jars and I use popsicle sticks from the dollar tree to scoop a dime sized amount. Then I apply it with my fingers. Now if you happen to break out it’s possible that its the breaking soda. So you can substitute it with cornstarch.

So I use essential oils from Plant therapy. I love their organic line & they have free delivery, plus they are very good with getting back to you if you have any kind of questions. Plus their customer service is awesome! So if you’re interested in buying some essential oils from them, use my link and you’ll receive $10 off your first purchase of $25 or more! http://rwrd.io/s4ztquq

As for the other ingredients, I found them all on amazon except my coconut oil, I buy mine from Costco. Needless to say I use coconut oil a lot in my house 😂 it really is a life saver.. I love body butters too. I’ll be posting this one recipe that literally healed an awful burn I had, plus it smells amazing! Even though I make my own body butter I am a huge fan of Ancient Cosmetics body butter. I buy my bars of soap From them and body scrubs. Their scents are amazing! If you’d like to try some of their products use This link http://i.refs.cc/95vfkHRE?smile_ref=eyJzbWlsZV9zb3VyY2UiOiJzbWlsZV91aSIsInNtaWxlX21lZGl1bSI6IiIsInNtaWxlX2NhbXBhaWduIjoicmVmZXJyYWxfcHJvZ3JhbSIsInNtaWxlX2N1c3RvbWVyX2lkIjozNzA4MjY4NzV9 & you’ll receive $10 off your first order of $15 or more! which is a steal.. Their customer service is amazing! Trust me you’ll love their products. My favorite is delicate rose 🌹
